I “get” it

I broke my Sebenza down for the first time this morning and cleaned the pivot and reapplied a small amount of grease from CRK. It is ALOT smoother and ohhh so sweet now! There was some thick, gooped up grease from the factory, almost hardened into a ball.

This was where I finally understood what the Sebenza is all about. It’s still centered with no play with the pivot screw out! What a well thought out and engineered cutting tool. The tolerances of this thing make me shake my head.

Anyways, that’s my quick thoughts this morning. I am overly impressed, and I finally “get” what a CRK is, and the happiness and pride that comes with owning one. Now I have a dilemma, do I get the Inkosi 25 next, or another Large Sebenza with Insingo blade? I really like the Insingo blade shape.

Don’t you wish at times, that all of your knives were almost idiot proof. I know I do, I’ve taken knives apart before and could not get them to center back up or feel smooth no matter what I tried.
When I take a CRK down and put it back together, I know I’m not an idiot at all ;)

I’d say go with the Inkosi because you can adjust the pivot tension to your liking. The 21 is a no brainer, but sometimes you need to satisfy that burning question, what would happen if I tightened up the pivot just a little more :D

I’m thinking the Inkosi as well. Now to get rid of some more Spydercos haha.

I like drop point. But if you want an Insingo blade don't get a Sebenza Insingo.

Get the Inkosi Insingo. You won't regret it. It's upgraded all around IMO.

I remember that moment, years ago. It was the same for me. The first time I disassembled my Sebenza is when I really understood how special these knives are.
So true. You really appreciate the quality, and the ability to take apart and reassemble with ease. The fantastic warranty to boot. I bought my first with this in mimd and convinced myself this was my only knife to justify the price. Let’s just say I bought few more after that.
