Sal, remember the infamous "NOTICE" thread in September where I stated I would not buy another Spyderco because you kept calling me an "ELU." Well, I haven't bought one, but I did trade for a plain blade new style Military. This replaces the BM AFCK I sold on the net. Many have extoled its virtues but there are a couple I am pleased about. First, the "hole" is a better idea than any stud/disk. Second, the blade grind line passes across the opening hole, providing extra purchase when thumbing the blade open. Third, it is slimmer closed than it appears to be when you see it open. And fourth, mine has a great lock!

The only necessary change would be to have a blackened clip. The silver clip is too evident on the pocket of your trousers. If there is ever an opportunity to get a black one, put me down for one.

Other than that, it's a great knife!

Bruce - thank you and thank you. Hope you enjoy and get to appreciate the efforts our knifemakers in Golden put into this model.

We should have 3 screw black Miliary clips & screws at SFO.

Does this mean that I can stop adding the (& Bruce) when using the "ELU" word?

Another convert!! I bought my first tactical knife just a few weeks ago -- a Military! And I am continuously pleased with it. I'm glad you are enjoying yours, too!

Sal, don't push it!

I really do like this knife. I found one more draw back though. The cut out for the liner lock release is too deep. I can get too much hand on the liner in use. Otherwise, it's great!

Bruce-
I have a military that I got off of the forums,(thanks Copfish!) that he had the liner recessed. I really takes care of the liner cutout problem that you speak of.
(I wish I had a scanner or dig. camera to post pics)
