I got this today at a supply store. Crescent Toolzall pro made in USA. by Collins tool. Is this junk? Or is it not? The owner of the store says his cost for them was $36 in 2000. He has two more and would sell them for $36. I acquired this one by trade.

Yes, Bear and Son. $36 is a reasonable price for what it is.

Bear doesn't seem to have a stellar reputation with their workmanship. ISTR a thread on the multitool.org forum displaying a Bear MT that Somehow left the factory without an edge bevel being ground on the knife blade! However, it seems their design may have been impressive enough that the company was briefly owned by Victorinox.

I took it out of the package. It is solid. More so than my Kick. The tools are tight and a little hard to open. This appears to be a quality tool .
