Yup, I {almost} lost my mind and almost traded-off one of my Kershaw folders for a Benchmade folder this morning. I came to my senses in-time and withdrew my trade offer..

...That was a close one.:o.

Ever trade your JYD2 and you will go to hell for all eternity! :)

.

I just got done (for now, anyway) flipping my JYD II open a couple dozen times just to re-assure the knife that it's not going to be traded-away after-all.:D.:D.

These JYD II's sure do flip-open nice and fast!...

You should be reading your Bible and praying for these "evil" thoughts that ran through you're mind. ;)

After all, you don't want to spend an eternity in hell do ya?? :D:D

I heard they give you cheap knock-offs and clones in knife hell. ;)

My JYD II for a Benchmade 420. I'm KEEPIN' my JYD II...

I won a JYDII on JD (thanks Thomas!), and I really like it. Great reverse grip, quick flip action. I am used to thumbstuds though, the blade has enough grip to be opened with the thumb and forefinger. Great utilitarian shape IMHO.

Yup, the JYD II is a "keeper". The price that the JYD II sells for is about 1/2 of what most another quality makers would sell for, should they had made this knife...Total quality for a low price...That's hard to beat!...

I was under the impression that Sandvik steel was comparable to 440C, then found out recently that it was comparable to 154CM. Another reason to like this knife!

This Sandvik 13C26 steel that Kershaw uses IS the STUFF!...It's my new favorite steel. It's tough, holds an edge well, and is easy to re-sharpen. Who could ask for more?...

The only down-side to this steel is that maybe it gets TOO sharp...Just ask my (now healed) thumb about that.:D.:D.

Yeah, thats right! I am okay with carbon and low grade stainless steels when it comes to resharpening. Just stropping my mini Cyclone was very easy.

Oh God, I just whittled down my modern design folders to my Seb, SMF, SNG, Ritter Grip and Military. I'm gonna have to get a Splinter and Cyclone again :foot: :D:thumbup:.

Thomas, quince wood Splinter in 13C26? :)?
