Yes, this Busseholic has added a new persona to his personality. The boys at Fehrman tell me that I have coined a new name they have never heard before. I received my first three Fehrmans last week. All black, Final Judgement, First Strike, and my absolute "Killer favorite" of the three, The Last Chance. I immediately knew upon handling these, that I had become something entirely new, " A FEHRMANITE ".
Today I ordered two more Last chance bruisers, another black and kydex, for my bug out bag , and a satin finish for playtime, plus a few of there nylon knives. ( check them out ) !!!!
Do yourself a favor, and become a "FERMANITE" like me. You'll be glad you did!!!!

Yup, I have 4 Busse knives, and 2 Fehrmans I got this week. I bought the little Thru Hiker to put on one of my Battle Mistress' as a piggy back. I liked it so much that I have a First Strike now, and I am trying to trade a Busse SAR5 for a First Strike right now. They are awsome blades and very comfortable. I know we will end up being struck down by a lot of the Busse guys, but they are just great blades.

I don't think anyone will argue that they're great blades
Congrats on the great scores guys!

Believe me I will never be cured of "Busseholicism". There's a really large Busse Battle Mistress in that bug out bag, and there always will be. When the next Busse comes up on their W/S, ( get a NMSFNO while you still can ), I'll be cooked as usual. Being a "Fehrmanite" just adds to the fun and games. Really fine blades. God help the wallet. After all, we must stimulate the economy, in any way we can!

Bless you. I even find Fehrmans superior to Busses when it comes to ergonomics and finish. I can't say which one is stronger, but when it comes to dead-or-alive, I'll grab my Fehrman FJ.

I'm still trying to get my hands on one of the larger two models for my go to large fixed blade. Really their factory is about an hour to an hour and a half south of me from what I remember. I should just drive down there and handle some.

Wish I could join you Vivi.
There's a lot a great blades out there. I own, and use many different brands. Busse's? Well, big favorite of this knifer. Just super strong and way cool comfortable designs. Tough as nails steel, but there's something about them Fehrmans. I do love their handles, and that you can remove them easily to clean and lube the steel under the scales for rust protection on those uncoated blades. Use and time will tell me about 3V steel, and Fehrman's heat treat. I trust the comments of the many Fehrman owners, on this forum, and am not worried one bit. love to watch other people do it online, but I do not normally, seriously, pry things with my blades, and I sure as hell ain't choppin into concrete blocks, and stabbing refrigeraters and stuff, so I'm lookin forward to many years of happy cutting and wood chopping. Cut on all!

I can't imagine why you'd think that.

Fehrman makes excellent knives. I just don't like the handles ... a purely personal and subjective judgement that shouldn't stop you from enjoying your new blades. I can't speak from personal experience, but I have friends who assure me Mr. Fehrman knows how to treat a nice hunk of 3V -- so I wouldn't worry about that.

Go with what you like.

BUT ... please drop by and share your experiences. No Regrets.:D

I have been thinking of getting a Fehrman for a while now, heard great things about them (many Busse fans in particular). One thing that I'd like to know is the color of the micarta handles, they look quite greenish on the website. Is that just the lighting or is that the color?

I suppose some PICS would help sort it out, hint hint!

Sorry MASSMATT, cameras out. however they are a grayish color with black accents. The photos on Fehrman website are pretty good. I like em.

The handle on my LC has a greenish tint. It’s very subtle, and definitely all business.
