Been in the shop and here is my results
The bowie is W2 that I forged when visiting and getting some pointers from Nick Wheeler shortly after the wife died. Thanks again for a pleasant day when I needed one! Doesn't show to well here but, came out with a great hamon. Stabilized Buckeye Burl. Nickel silve trim and a micarta spacer.

These are some smaller drop points with D2 blades and ironwood scales. HT was 30 min at 1850, then a long soak in dry ice and acetone, then 2 times for 2hrs at 425. I love the way these hold an edge.

Thanks for the complements. Sorry about photo quality, I need to get new light box setup and unpack the good camera.

Nice knives. W 2 Bowie looks really fine.

great looking knives I can just see the hamon on the Bowie it looks great I'm sure the photos doesn't do it justice. I think taking a good phot is almost harder than making the knife .......Steve

Fantastic news Jim!!! :)

Looks like quite a hamon peeking out there! So was that with the clay we put on???

Glad to see you posting some work Jim!

Nick, ya that was the clay we put on and the hamon came out great. I hardend it before I had the fire. I figured because you had something to do with it it should take a year to complete. LOL. It was the first thing I finished when I fired the new shop up. Jim

That bowie is really nice, but the subtle contours of the handles on the two other knives speak volumes to me.

Great looking knives!

You sure are a maker of knives. I bought a D2 hunter with Afzelia Xylay and Titanium from you back in Nov '08. It's still one of my favorites as it has a great feel to it and its edge is outstanding.

I'm glad to see that you are back sharing your work and directing your energies into something that you enjoy.

Welcome back,

Brett
