I had a great time on vacation. A little camping, some hiking, a few baseball games, some swimming, and a lot of just chillin out!

I did want to share some pictures with you - nothing special - but during my days of chilling I made about 10 walking sticks for my family and friends. I found two sources of Maple that were being cut anyway and got a bunch of straight staves for the cutting. I simply used my knives (BRKT Kephart and mikro TUSK) and then stained and poly'd them. I put a copper end cap on the bottom for protection - they turned out awesome!

Here is where I sat:

Not bad huh? That is actually some sassafras harvested from my fathers land (standing dead) which I made for my father in law. I have about 10 staves curing for next year in my mothers garage. Should make another batch of awesome sticks.

Life was and is good.

Making walking sticks is one of the best ways to relax and chill out. Great looking pics.

Welcome back bud! Glad to hear you had a good time. I hope you racked up some miles on your bicycle in the pic ;)

Hey T, get back to work:D My wife just made it back as well and my box is ready to be shipped (has the Brian Andrew's Bushcrafter/sheath type and M.O. in it). Make sure you get some good pictures for me while I'm out here...
