I went to Sabrina Basin by California backpacking. After a 3 and half hour hike in I reached Dingle berry lake at 11,000 feet elevation. There is a multitude of bears in the areas so the forest service suggests that you bring bear canisters to store food. I carry 18'' WWII and 12'' Ang Khola for my own protection. Here are couple of pictures of hungry packer lake from my hiking trip.
Happy to see you all.

Gorgeous. How far is that across the water? It looks close, but probably a couple miles at least.

Man thats beautiful Yangdu. I bet it was very relaxing. Good to have you back.

Welcome back:D...see? The place didn't even burn down while you were gone;)

Beautiful lake... a great reward after a 3 hour hike. Thanks for the pics and welcome back.

Beautiful pictures.

It's good that you had a chance to get up in the mountains.

Even if you did use sissy American trails with switchbacks. As I recall the trails in Nepal usually take a more direct approach.

I didn't know that about switchbacks and the lack thereof in Nepal.

A switchback is a more efficient method of ascent, and less damaging to the land. I guess if you're looking at a mountain of 20,000 ft, though, you might age a little by the time you make the summit.

Backpacking is amazing, and so are those pictures! Good choice in locale. Never been there, but the picture says it all.
