I have a new in the clamshell packaging USA made Schrade model 152UH (Wolverine) in stainless steel with stag type scales and leather belt sheath.

I know its not a high end knife but its still a good knife.

(ALSO ADDING A TIMBERLINE WORDEN FOLDER WITH A 2.93 INCH BLADE.)

I want to give this away to a deserving person. Maybe its your Uncle, Grandpa, Neighbor, Or Friend. Maybe its someone who cannot afford to buy themselves a knife of there own.
Please write down who you know that deserves this knife, and why they deserve it and I will read the posts and pick out the one I feel is the most deserving.

Moderators If this is in the wrong place, I apologize.

My son and his fiance have a little boy just over 1 years old. He weighed approx. 1 1/2 lbs at birth(preemie) and spent his first 5 months in the P.I.C.U in a neighboring hospital in Indiana. He and his fiance love to hunt, but all the hospital bills keep them from buying hunting accessories, such as knives, etc. They are both pretty good people(if I say so myself) and would like to hunt in the fall when season is in. Thank you for the opportunity.:D

Come on there cant be only one person here that has someone that would deserve this knife?.

I got a older brother that really wants to go hunting, but he's has been diagnosed with Zoophobia. Him and I really want to get rid of his phobia. I wish I had time and money to buy my brother a knife, even for him it's struggle to put money on the table when your constantly going to the doctors. I great appreciate you putting on the giveaway.

I bowl with this guy who only has a bunch of crappy Frost knives. He wanted me to sharpen some for him and I refused. Id give him this knife and sharpen it when he needs it.

Hey yo jeepin. Hows your Gshock 7900?

I think my grippy needs it because I abuse her alot.
and you never put in a can of sardines when you shipped her.LOL remember?

I'd like to surprise her with that knife when she returns from Lifesharp.

The G-Shock is woooonderfull  I love it.
And sorry about not putting in the can of sardines. I was hungry:D

Have a good friend who is some what knife challenged. Doesn't like folders at all, this would be a perfect gift for him.

got a friend who is crazy about fishing and doesn't have a good knife, I'm planning to give him a folder as a new-year's gift, but this knife looks like a good one for fishing guys. but even if he can not win this one, still i'll give him the folder.

Happy new year!

My son graduated from Cub Scouts to Boy Scouts last year. Not sure if that is going to last though. Up until now he has carried a Camillus BSA Scout and expects nothing more. Well, I just found out that he is in line to be nominated to the Junior National Honor Society when school reconvenes in January. I'm also going to mention that while not active in school athletics he is advancing in the ranks in Tae Kwon Do and landed a good supporting role in this year's Jr. High Musical. He is playing the King of Hearts in Alice in Wonderland. The only thing I have not had much success with is turning him into an outdoorsman. I grew up hunting, fishing, shooting, and trapping. I still pursue these as time permits but although he has gone with me, I can tell it is not his thing. At least not yet.

As residents of Ellenville, I'm hoping that if he is fortunate enough to win this fine knife that its looks, function, and local history will motivate him to join the old man woodsbumming. Thanks for listening to me brag a little.

BTW: When he was born, I named him Remington. How cool is that?

I know I included a lot of information that I probably shouldn't have but hey, I'm a proud Poppa.

That's cool.
My friends son is named Remington
I will keep this going for about 5 more days then I will pick the winner.

Thanks for all the entries so far:)

Not that it's as important (I wouldn't choose me with people who actually have a NEED ) but my brother in law apparently knows nonothing about knives and sharpness. He's been using the same old hunter/skinner since he was a teenager. I sharpened it for him once but the blade is so dulled up that about half it's length is rounded and thick like a butter knife. I would like to give him one that's good and teach him how to maintain it!

I need another fixed blade like a hole in the head and my close circle of friends are not wanting for much either so just wanted to say nice gesture and I hope someone will get great joy out of it!

I know a fellow knife accumulator up in NY state that would be a deserving recipient. He doesn't seem to be spending much on knives at all last several years due to other family members that have been caught up in the recent tough economic times. Seems like all his efforts and resources go into keeping 3 households afloat.
He also sponsors some unrelated youngsters and once or twice a year takes them camping or on other outings.
I acquired a Schrade display several years ago that had an empty 152OT slot and he sent me one he had for the display w/o my asking. I had posted the display on a forum and he just wanted to help fill the empty slots.

So in recognition of his tireless efforts to help others even though he himself is spread pretty thin, I'd like to nominate him.
Thanks for the giveaway, shows your heart is in the right place also.

I'm kinda disappointed, I expected alot more entries.
I guess if it's not a sebenza or other high end knife people don't wanna waste there time:(

I don't think it has anything to do with the class of knife. Most giveaways are "guess a number." This one requires some thought. Not so easy. I can think of people who could use a knife. I can't think of any that deserves one.

Good on you for making sure this particular knife gets a deserving home!

My buddie just got laid off in October and he has a 13 year old son who hunts. They had a pretty rough Christmas this year and that would make a sweet hunting knife for my buddies 13 year old son.

Sweet knife btw and very nice gesture

Thanks for all the entries everyone.
I have decided to throw in a folder as well.
If there gonna have a fixed blade they might as well have a folder.
It's a Timberline Worden folder.

I will put a pic up of it as soon as I get home from work.

Don't be disappointed, it is not the quality of the knife. I have already given a knife to everyone that I think deserves it. I have gifted a lot of knives over the years ;). This may be the case for many others here. Good idea for a giveaway .

I would say my brother in law in Minnesota. He has four kids that he and my sister take from one activity to the next. They are avid outdoors men/women. They, hunt, fish, and grow most of their food. They never buy for themselves and when and if they do, its usually garage sales. My sister works as a teacher and my brother in law as a probation officer. They recently started building docks for people to supplement their income. As I said their kids are in a lot of activities. They work hard and ask for nothing for themselves. I know if he won he would be grateful. I'm sure he could use a new knife. Thanks for this giveaway.
