As a Maker with said membership etc, I plan on starting a thread to sell a knife making product in the proper forum.

I have a question?

Is it alright to post a link to another site that I have a track record of selling this product on for about the last year? The other site has a dog in it.

My Product is Rhino Finger Skins. A protective finger cot I designed to give full tactile sensation while grinding.

Can anyone answer that question for me?

Thanks

That sounds somewhat like linking to an eBay store that you also sell on. We wouldn't want that as a permanent part of your profile here.

If you continue selling there, would you sell at the same price in both places?

Yes! Same price shipped to your door. The link is to give some more info and comments from happy customers, Some of which frequent this site as well This link will be in the sales threads only.

It would not be a part of my profile or comments when I post on other topic threads

People already know to do research on makers and word of mouth travels fast. Most sellers (Gold/Platiunum) will say something simple like: "I have good feedback on ebay under XYZ Name", and leave it at that. It's rare to see someone link feedback from other places. In the end your feedback on BF transactions will count on BF much more than other transactions elsewhere. Just my 2 cents.

I agree about the feedback. My main reason is so that customers can read what other customers say about the product and uses they have found..

Direct linking might not go over well, but quoting wouldn't be too problematic if done correctly. Reason being we don't want to redirect members to other sites, we'd prefer they read any useful info on here.
