Absolutely in love with it.

I got it a few days ago on a whim and am blown away at the ergonomics. I have at least 50 folders and this is by far the most comfortable knife to use. Great grind and top notch F&F.

Yesterday I was at a house I watch that is in probate, and a tree fell during some high winds we had this week. Small tree, maybe 8', but the gardener used hemp rope to stake it. The Tuff-Lite whipped through six pieces of rope like butter. Got home later and the wife and I wrapped some Christmas presents and it still sliced the wrapping paper like a laser.

Thing is, the knife is a steal at $34 shipped. I swear that if any of my friends bag on Cold Steel, I am buying them one of these and daring them to hate it for what it is. A tool.....a well made real work tool.

I agree. Great ergos, great lock (not a fan of back locks in general, but the TriAd lock is kick ass for what it is).

I only wish they would do a higher end Tuff Lite. Dump the Grivory for lined G10 and dump AUS-8 for maybe D2/S30V? Come on Cold Steel you've got a wonderful design, make it more than a beater.

I could see if they made an upgraded model, but I would still use this one. Nothing wrong with AUS-8 and Grivory. I never question the steel and plastic used in my Stihl chainsaw.....as long as it works.

I hear you. Functional for certain, but not as pretty as it could be. I personally hate AUS-8. I was constantly sharpening it.

As is, it is a solid user. Reversible clip is nice, deployment hole is functional and cool looking.

Here are some size comparison pics. Top to Bottom : Benchmade Bone Collector Mini, Spyderco Persistence, Tuff Lite, Spyderco Cat.

Gotten my father a Tuff-Life for fathers day and it doesn't leave his pocket unless he needs to use it. Also would love if Cold Steel made a XL Tuff-lite at 3-3.5 inchs

The Tuff Lite is definitely on my short list. I've read too many glowing reviews of it to pass it up.

My first Tuff was a mini. I liked it quite a bit, but wasn't totally blown away. It's a decent little knife, but struck me as sort of toyish in size and feel. When I got the larger "full" size Tuff, it felt like a totally different knife, much more substantial and solid. I've been edc'ing the Tuff for a long time without issue. It handles everything very well. I'd say it's one of my current fave knife models from any maker. Now if CS will only answer my prayers with an XL Tuff Lite (4-5" blade, preferably ffg), all will be right with the world.:D

Any plans for other handle colors variants for the large ones CS?

I need to look into one of these...

For the modern use of a blade for utlity work, the Wharncliffe blade maybe the best. Most people don't get this, but for opening boxes, cutting stuff, cutting things out of paper, this type of blade is best suited.

This is what I'm talking about! CS needs to do this. Simplify it for production, but seriously? G10 scales, backspacer and pocket clip options. Don't forget about lefties!

This knife looks better than a Strider. Sleek, functional, sexy. Come on CS you have something here. You already have the design, and the lock, just a little upgrade in handle design and a bump up in blade steel and these thing will fly.

I think I'm going to pick one of these little guys up. What's the toughest stuff y'all have cut with this knife?
