Small, lightweight (lighter than my actual Twitch I), with one hand opening and closing.

Steel may be what forumites call cheap (420 welcome).

Size must be around 3" or less but flatness may make up for extra length.

Hawkbill blade seems tempting. (a lot of box and letter opening)

Me likes the Spydie Cricket but all steel construction makes it weight a bit. Any contenders in your mind?

You like the Cricket eh? Don't like the weight? Well then you may want to look into the zytel (I thought was FRN) Cricket! 1sks.com has them.

An FRN Cricket may suit your tastes the best. My personal favorite in this category is the Jester.

Don't know about folders. But David Winston makes these damascus keychain knives.

Upgraded from a Ladybug to a Jester a while back. No regrets.

On my keychain I have a Victorinox SAK Midnight Manager. It's great! It's small, has the blades, bottle opener, screwdriver --- and a light (to see the keyhole you're opening at night) and a push-out pen to write quick notes.

Spyderco Jester for one handed opening, one blade. Victorinox Rambler for a good small utility knife. I have both and keep the Vic on my keychain.

Benchmade 310 or 3100. Small, thin, durable, nice looking, Ti and steel construction, 2' blade, 154cm blade steel, good blade shape, locks both open and closed, one handed opening and closing. (Even the 310 can be opened on handed once the pivot loosens a little) It sounds like it fits your needs. There is a red line version coming out soon that should be an excellent knife for around $30.

Those little Cold Steel Mini Pals and Ready Edge knives are quite handy. I got several for gifts for friends and the wife and they all really liked them. My wife still uses that little push knife for opening packages and stuff.

I have certainly looked at the Benchmite and I like it, however I was not sure it was a truly one hand opening and closing knife. A more affordable version might push me over to buy it.
