Hello everyone thanks for reading this. I am a cowboy boot kind of guy and wear work boots too. I am looking for a good boot knife that I can use with both of them. Can anyone help point me in the right direction?

I need more information to help you...specifically your wants/needs. I wear cowboy boots too, I have thought about doing the same (Never done it). State laws will affect what you can carry, i.e. You cannot carry a dagger in Texas. But I notice boot knives are rather small so I would assume (WARNING: NOT AN EXPERT DO NOT QUOTE ME OR REFERENCE ME I AM ASSUMING) something like the Spartan Blades Enyo would be nice or the Benchmade 176.

I would think many of the "neckers" out there could fill this role well in the right rig.

Sounds kinda uncomfortable to me. But whatever floats your boat. I got no recommendations.

A good boot sheath is the first thing. I don't like a naked blade in a boot. Once you have a good sheath, the choice becomes pretty wide. I use a sheath that came with a fixed-blade custom purchase years ago. It has a sturdy clip, is thin and well constructed. That knife is in a drawer; the sheath lives in my boots.

And of course any folder with a clip can be a 'boot knife.'

Since most boot knives are fixed blade, the three I prefer for boot carry are my original Tekna Dive Knife, a BK-11 SanMai leather wrapped, or an original HEST fixed blade. I've accumulated lot of boot knives over my riding career but those are the ones I use currently and work best for me.

Gerber re-released their Guardian.

I just saw that, I thought it was an old pic but when I clicked on the link I was surprised. I had a bunch of Gerbers from the 70s and early 80s around the time Blacks Collins was designing for them before starting Benchmark. They made some great knives in the day.
