I am looking to pay someone to sharpen my BM 710

I am partially disabled & have lost some of my fine motor skills & no longer have the dexterity to sharpen some blade myself.
I can still sharpen my full flat ground blades using my spyderco sharpener, but I need to have the relief grind and the edge thinned out, while maintaining the basic look of the saber grind of the BM 710.

I called Tom Krien, I have had him do some minor work for me before, but he is no longer taking on sharpening, as he is swamped with his own knives.

Is there anyone else you can think of that might be able to help me?

Thanks in advance.

Knifenut1013 is the guy. I had him do a number on my gentlemen's knife, and it is SPECTACULAR.

Contact Richard J here on the forum's, he will do you an excellent job and is very reasonable. You can pm him and he will get right back with you. Good luck!

Blessings,

Omar

Problem is, how sharp will they get it? :D

Sharp enough to be not that dull! They might even give it even bevels!

Seriously though, there are a multitude of sharpeners here. Richardj, Knifenut1013, and that one guy who mainly does kitchen knives (apologies, I don't keep up with many of the sharpeners) are the prominent ones. I think Richardj is either in or just got out of the hospital, and he told me not too long ago that he was a bit backed up, so talking to him first would be the best bet if you want to go with him.

I would just say stay away from manufacturer sharpening. They usually sharpen for time, not for quality, so while it is cheaper you usually take a few extra weeks to get your knife and you won't get a very impressive edge in return.

this i believe is an ancient law at work: you're good enough to wield a tool but not good enough to fix it.

Thank you all for your help & advice.
