Been a while since I started one of my long boring posts here on the Chris Reeve Forum.. but I am still alive and kicking.. I think anyway.. So I recently picked up this Large Classic Unique. As you know I am not really into the CGG. or Unique's I kind of like my knives plain.. but this thing is so beautiful I just had to share it with my friends. It is in my opinion (you know what they say about opinions) an Awesome example of some of the fine functional art that has come out of CRK over the years!! This example is a Large Sebenza Classic Unique with a Faux Blue Sapphire Inlay... the knife is BNIB and was born on December 21 2006. Sorry for my usual poor quality photos.
Thanks for looking!!
And as always, all the best!
Dave

I am not normally a fan of the graphic knives, with only a few catching my attention (Calvary and Ole Glory come to mind) but that one is very nice! I like the feather pattern and the stone inset. Very nice find!

Always liked the "feather/peacock" look..nice!
Thanks lemmuhj! It does look like a beautiful peacock feather, the blue color is amazing my cell phone photos combined with my poor camera skills don't do it justice.
All the best, Dave

I feel the same way Ernie, as you know I have had the pleasure of owning some very nice CCG's and a few Decorated and Unique graphics..mostly "Regular" Sebenza's and I must admit many are very beautiful and very tastefully done.. and of course the many beautiful examples that have been shared by our fellow members especially the earlier examples are breathtaking!! But this is the nicest example of a "Unique" graphic that I have had the pleasure of being the temporary custodian of to date. The color combinations and sapphire inlay just "pop"... sorry.... I guess I got carried away there..;) but it's sooo puretie..
All the best, Dave

Dave,

That sure is a nice one! It is amazing the variety found in CRK artistic to utilitarian.

Thanks Curtis!! I think that is one of the reasons that so many of us are huge fans of Chris Reeve knives!! Not only are they the best "production" knife out there (IMHO) there really is something for everyone in there line up! Whether you are looking for that perfect EDC or are just someone like myself who admires the fantastic workmanship and quality of these fine knives! I know I must sound like some kind of fan boy.. but I says what I think... are they cheep (inexpensive) hell no.. are they perfect.. nothing is perfect.. are they worth the time and money many of us spend tracking down that special one.. Hell yes!! ;)
All the best, Dave

That is beautiful Dave. I have much love for the CGG/UG and there is something about that word "Classic" on them that add that extra appeal for me. I am currently carrying a large classic UG myself.

I always enjoy your posts my friend....!!!

Thank you very much for the kind words Buck! ;) much of what I have learned about "This thing of Ours" is due to all the great threads I have read many started by you and the other long time members here!! You have a wealth of knowledge and are always willing to share it with the rest of us! and for that I am very grateful my friend!!

I too lean toward the blander side of CRK(except my love of mammoth bark), but there is no denying that they have some great artistic talent. It is amazing what they can do with a ti scale. That is a true work of art.

I agree with you 110% Peter!! Although I think the offerings on the later knives.. Sebenza 21 don't seem to be as "exciting" for some reason.. or maybe its just me.
All the best, Dave
