I spoke to Jerry Busse yesterday. He answered all of my questions.
Jerry is a Helluva guy....!

I ordered a Battle Mistress from him. It was s'posed to be here next week.

It arrived today! Man that BM is sweet!
Razor sharp.
Craftsmanship is awesome!
I live in Louisiana, so I'll have to take 'er out and see what damage I can do in the bayous.

Thanks people. It sure is a suhweet edged tool.
I did a lot of research. I have not read one bad thing about it.
At first I thought, "If I pay$300+ bucks for a knife, it had better come delivered by a hooker!"

But over time I found out, you really get what ya pay for.

I am quite happy.

Couple questions:

I would like a Kydex/Concealex sheath like they used to come with. I saw one that had a relatively wide leg strap, and a means to attach it rather low on a belt...almost like a tactical SAS style holster. I left a message today at BUSSE. Maybe Jerry can help too.

As it is a high carbon steel alloy, what do ya'll coat it with to protect it from ferric oxide? I put some MILITEC-1 on the edge for goofs...but what is suggested?
(Not that I'll leave it in a bucket of saltwater, but I am just being careful.)

Your in Nuclearness,

Hey Exec...

Jerry has my sheaths in stock for your blade...

They aren't quite a dropper sheath, but they do lower the sheath so the hilt is just below the belt line.

With this type of setup there isn't much need for a leg strap and it is pretty comfortable to carry..

The complete package lays pretty flat against the leg without the flopping you get from a webbing rig.

You will effectively be able to draw the blade with one hand without a leg strap either..

I'm sure it will fit your needs fairly well.

If you have any questions,, Please feel free to drop me a note anytime and I should be able to help you..

Execution Style and Tombstone,

Welcome to the "Nuclear Crew". It is a large band of misfits and deviants. . . .and sadly, those are their good traits. Not surprisingly, your names fit in with this group almost "too" well.
