I am really enjoying the Military 2 (CruCarta Edition)

A Sebenza has been in my pocket for the longest now. I got the itch for something new and ended up with a Cruwear Military 2. Magnacut is nice but there's something about a carbon/tool steel that I really enjoy and Cruwear seemed like a good option for me. I enjoy the micarta scales and I'm finding that the Military 2's ergonomics are perfect for my large hands.

If you're on the fence about getting one, I believe they're worth a try.

I just bought the Para 3 in Crucarda for a lot of the same reasons you point out. I was in the market for a smaller folder for light hiking and settled on the Para 3 simply because I have plenty of 4" folders.

Cruwear is my favorite steel currently. I have others new "super steels", but Cruwear sharpens well and strops well. I have 5 Benchmades in it, but this was my first Spyderco in it and first example of the compression lock. I've only had it about a week and it's already picking up some great character.

I am digging this set up enough that I am probably going to pick up a Military 2 in Crucarda the next time I can come up with an excuse ;)

That’s good stuff! I’ve had the 15V variant for a week and I’m liking it more every time I pick it up.

Absolutely agree, my first experience with Cruwear was a Military with the cream colored G10 scales. I’ve been liking it ever since to the point that I’ve got more Spyderco knives in Cruwear than any other steel.
At first, I never planned to acquire any Military 2 knives, but when the combo came out, I couldn’t resist. Not to mention the 15V and S90V ones that came out.

I just got a 15v Para 3 and I'm about to order a 15v Military 2.

You won’t be disappointed. Solid knife, options for clip carry. The one thing I do miss is the solid lock up sound the Military has.
