Well, not really..

But do any makers, collectors, photographers, sheathmakers, lurkers or enthusiasts wanna share some new and exciting folder pictures?

I'm sure this thread will die very fast but lets see a few at least.

These pics are all from the net. None are in my collection.

Jim Schmidt I just saw on Great Lakes' site

Forget the folders, check out that PINK gator skin. :eek: :thumbup: ;)

SUPER NICE folders Jon.
I have been scoping out that Hanson Auto on the site, it's very reasonably priced.

I'm not sure where this picture came from, but this knife has got to be one of the coolest I've come across;

This one isn't a custom, but I customized it today by sliding across the road with it in my pocket after hitting a patch of black ice;

And I sure hope he doesn't mind me robbing this picture from his website, but this knife by Mr. Burch is currently the only custom folder I yearn to possess;

I had to add these two as well. The Glimpse is hands down my favorite folder design of late, and the Frontline is just...sheesh!

You guys are kinda mean. :) I've recently really grown to like Burch knives. That one has a funny handle to me, but I LOVE the blade. I also know they are made well and feel great. I have a non folding one.

Also, lorien.. nice going on the benchmade. I am not sure what grit the road surface is but you did a terrible job finishing it!

I think you will like these two, Jon, from Dellana.
one of my favorite knifemakers....

All the best,
David Darom (ddd)

How about a bunny with a pancake and a cutlass? I'm sorry, I've been in the shop making some tooling for my grinder and draw filing a knife.

Yes STeve, I realize that it's not truly a cutlass and you could point out a myriad of reasons why it's not a true cutlass.

Edited to add: The other blades are truly awesome and are a nice break from the lovely bowies we've been besieged with..... "besieged by bowies", Dr. D, feel free to use that for a book title.

Ha! I thought it was a guinea pig.

That Bennica damascus number is slick.

Start a real thread of the best folders of 2008. It doesn't have to be a complicated vote. Just show and tell.

(Or maybe change the thread title if you can)

Don't know if these are worthy of being amongst the fine folders posted here so far, but here a few of my friction folders.

Here is a custom Joel Chamblin part of the LDC line. Only 50 of these where made. Joel is one of the top slipjoint makers in the world. This is one of his first tactical folders he has made.

Glad you're okay. What Benchmade model is this. Thanks.

heheh, and thanks! 520:). It's a hell of a knife.
no more derailments from me! And to prove that, here's a beauty, well a few. And if you ever see ANY of them, get in touch with Ken;
