I was only looking for lanyard beads, honest, when I stumbled upon a new CQC-7B/BT in all it's glory. Now, I am embarased to say, that as a collector of Emerson knives, I had yet to own a 'seven'. Over the years, Rolf (Lycosa) had a substancial collection of CQC-7 knives and raved about them, so with his input in mind, I hit the 'Buy It Now' button. That will make four Emerson knives in as many weeks! I am so weak, but also, I am sooo happy. ;)

Anyone else gone through an Emerson 'spree' lately?

I'm going through an Emerson window shopping spree. In other words, there are too many models I am interested in purchasing one of, but not enough dough for them all.

Just bought my first, a cqc-7bw. Im now in love with Emerson.

Welcome to the 'Now I get it', crowd!

That feeling doesn't go away, neither does the need for more dough. :)

Yep, just got three at once in a huge moment of weakness. Still getting used to them but they are very cool!

got my super roadhouse , cqc-7, cqc-15, and cqc-8 in a 3 week period, I'm looking for my next model now, I sold both my super commanders and my regular commander as I couldn't sharpen the recurve that well, I may buy another one but I dunno im on the hunt, Either another Super commander or may try the persian, put if i find a journeyman thats diff. my next knife.

same for me, the CQC-10 is what did it. I'm starting to notice that a few custom knifemakers have a very similar handle shape in their folders.

I can understand the feeling. I've been really eyeing a cqc 8. Emerson's look amazing and like quality.

If one were to pick an all-around general purpose Emerson, it would be either an 8 or a Journeyman, imo.

I got my first (an 8) about a month ago. Realized how awesome Emerson's are, and have since traded for my 2nd (a 7), and I have my 3rd (Commander) on the way. Now, I just need to find something else I can trade to get my 4th, either a persian or a karambit.

USPS is looking into my lost Roadhouse. Doubt anything will come from it but the dealer will refund my purchase (or send me a replacement Roadhouse) if nothing comes of it.

Ok enough ranting. I do have my eyes set on a Roadhouse. Then a CQC10, a Perisan, CQC7V. But i'm committed to hold out until March.

My protech cqc7 has me wanting anothe emerson. Im thinking roadhouse.

The Roadhouse is a 'must have'. A Tanto with 'belly' is a great idea and works just great in practice. I love mine.

That is what I have heard. I really like the blade shape and handle design. Hope to pick one up next week.

You will enjoy it for sure!

Way to go! I look forward to your impressions of the Persian or the Karambit.

My latest Tan 7B is still holding me.
Nothing "weak" about an Emerson.

Well Rolf, it only took a few years, but your glowing reports on the 7 finally tipped me over. I have a 7b /BT on the way, finally. I just couldn't wait for the Tan version. :o

I have found, KC, that the moment you intend to hold out on a purchase, the desired item(s) suddenly become available for a great deal. I think your buy list is excellent!
