No power since 6PM yesterday, no Tv, no radio, and even worse, no grinder, buffer, saw, estc. Wife's in town with friends, people next door two miles away, high winds, 5' drifts. I've never seen a storm likw this, and that includes living 18 years in N.H. No plow, the road looks like an ice river. Three ft. of snow on the roof, must weigh tons-house creaking like an old man. Limbs, big limbs, braking and sounding like rifle shots. Keeping warm with wood stove, been going now for 18 hours straight.Luckily, well stocked with booze. I swear-I gott'a move south!Meheco!

Dave

P.S. Computer on battery-don't think I'll be able to get on much longer. Gonna sens up smoke signals next:)

We got pounded also here in Maryland. Hang in there Dave. Sounds like you got it under control.

News just said there are 200,000 without power in Va. Does not sound good Dave .

It's not.

I'm in Prince William County, VA ... but it's not much different here than it is for David.

However, my family is trapped in here with me. Oh ... and some of their friends. Apparently, I have better booze.;)

Now if I could just get them to help me start digging out. It'll take days!

Come on down to Alabama. Winter is not too bad, but Summer can be a real PIA.

I played golf last year with the temp around 99 and the humidity at around 99. Sounds a little warm, but I'll take it any day over shovelin' snow.

Like Robert said, come on down to Alabama, Heart of Dixie. Weather really good, I don't mind the heat, but that said, I don't like the three days we had below freezing this winter.:p But, it did kill the mosquitoes, (I hope). The Yellowhammer is the state bird, mosquitoes come in next as the known state bird. Alaska has nothing on our suckers.

God seems to make a fool of me everytime. I no sooner finished my rant-or more accurately, whine-than my power came on and to put the icing on the cake, the sun came out. But I'm not gonna fall for it, wood stove's still going.

I'm still stuck, but now I have some comforts. If I could just figure out what's going on with dish tv now-can get some channels but not others. Oh well..

this was a hell of a storm, wasn't it, guys?

Dave

We got dusted, but that was all. Take care and stay warm. Don't drive until the roads are clear.

If you don't make it, leave a note where the sword is...and I'll get it later.:D
