I remember when they first started out. Good cheap stuff. I know that over the years they have really listened to thier customers, and have made lots of cool knives. I just looked at all thier new stuff, and am very impressed in how far they have come. Now using 154cm on some of thier knives, and the designs they are reproducing are getting cooler by the minute. I am itching to get one of the new desert cruisers. Anyone else like thier stuff?

I haven't been really impressed since the lawks came out.
One thing that I really love is my limited ed. Wasp.
that's top notch.

I may look at them again as they are getting away from the crap steel. I'm not into the tactical stuff, if they make some nice slimline folders, lockbacks maybe even some SJs, I might get enthused.

It is nice to see that they are having a few knives made in US. It don't care for the design of the two that I have seen so far, but maybe there will be one in the future that interests me.

Their new sharpening system looks interesting.

I'll sure second that. My 2002 Viele Wasp Ltd Ed is as tight and classy a unit as there is. My S-2 framelock series (see pics below) are really clean and smooth and my little 3" M-16-11F is a very slick little work EDC.
I am excited about the Crawford design assisted-opening, USA models coming in April. http://www.crkt.com/usaline.html
Im'a gonna get me one'a them Wild Weasels :)

I wonder if these will sell since MSRP is $129.99, $78 online price. Many complain about the lower grade steel (including me) but when CRKT comes out with higher grades steel, I doubt they sell because many of the higher grade steel models are discontinued. I think most buy them for the bang for the buck factor.

So? Benchmade and Spyderco routinely discontinue knives with good steel ... they just run out of customers for that model, no matter how hot the following is among knife knuts. Then they replace them with something new and just as high tech. CRKT thrives on innovation. We should expect relatively short runs of a relatively large number of succeeding models. (It would be nice to see!)

The difference between CRKT and BM is people will pay out for premium steel BM but they will not pay out in most cases for premium steel CRKT.
