I do not know if I am a big fan of that skelatonized sheath arrangement he has.

Even if only very temporary by intent it appears as though it would be very temporary by design.

Those are cool, are those really protos? That one nearest the man looks like a Khurki almost....

Looks like a couple of the new Cold Steel machetes. Hope he doesn't land on 'em!

Those look like cold steel machette's ?
Looks like that guy needs some sheaths worse than any one I have ever seen

Have him give me a call

Hey Gundy I saw your Jensen knife design man that thing is cool

Guy,
Good to hear from you. I thought maybe you'd gone under the knife for your knee and couldn't get to the computer :D:D

I agree, this guy is not setting a good example. It does rather support my experience that many paper-back commandos achieve their positions on para-military teams by padding their resumes or impressing a hiring body with little or no idea of the environment they'll be sending their emplpyee into. Makes you think twice about joining an organization that doesn't have a selection process. If this guy's system fails, it won't be because he failed to use common sense, it'll be because an entire team of guys failed to use common sense. Guy, good to know your safe, if only for the moment. Good luck and God bless, John

The knives don't even look as though they are secured tightly. As they move around they will cut through the straps, then perhaps cut him. Not too bright!

Hi all - thought it looked a little odd. The photo is from an article in Janes Defence Weekly, 23 April 2003, about the Joint Monitoring Mission in Central Sudan. The caption reads

"The Chief Administrative Officer, Lt Col Bjarne Giske of the Norwegian Army, descends from a helicopter to oversee the installation of radio repeaters in an inaccessible location. This is characteristic of the 'hands-on' nature of the mission."

This guy is the Rodney Dangerfield of soldiers with this crowd.......

:D

That's a shame. I've trained with some damned fine Norsky operators. Not at all like that fat lop of $h!t.:grumpy:

Man, he stops back to post a pic, hangs out for a few minutes and is gone again.

This man is like the wind ;):D:D
