Hi guys. Just wanted to say hi. I haven't posted much lately. You see my father in law (92) has to move to a long term care facility because of his failing health as is my aunt (89). My wife being the only family they have, we are in over our head with the moves, changes of address, paperwork that has to be filled, etc. Plus I am still battling health issues of my own so that means Dr. Appointments and treatments galore. :(

All this to say that knifemaking is at a dead stop and will likely be for another month or so. :(
But that doesn't mean I am not following what you guys are doing and very thankful for the distraction.
I am also getting together the supplies needed (with the help of Frank Niro, thank Frank) to give folders a try, later this year when things settle down.

Keep up the good work.

Hang in there Patrice, we're not going anywhere- we'll be glad to have you back posting cool work whenever.
Sometimes a few weeks or even months off can be very good for your creativity and drive...

Take care of your family and yourself, Patriice. We will all still be here when you get back to doing knives.

On a side note, I have a box about full and ready to ship to you. I'll get with you soon on that.

hey Patrice, I know how that feels. Sit in the shop when you have a spare minute and just relax, it will get better. I think I asked once before but I will be in the Bagotville area in August, are you close?

I do miss you Patrice. You have a singular style that inspires me. Take care of yourself first, or you won't be able to take care of the others.

Patrice, take care and look after yourself. I'm looking forward to what you come up with for folders.

Thanks for the words of encouragement guys, you don't know how much it means.

Stacy, that package will be better than Christmas my friend, thanks again for your generosity.

Tatoo, sadly I am quite far from Bagotville, around 5 hours at least. If you are ever closer to Montreal, PM me.

Thanks again my friends for your support.

Hi Patrice,

I was commenting to my wife just today, that I've missed you in the forum and that I hoped you were well! I trust that you're in good hands and that the treatments you're receiving will provide a long-term/lasting remedy and improvement.

Best wishes for you and your family.

Robert

Patrice,
I wish you the best with your medical challenges! I've had a few of those myself. LOL.

Take care of your loved ones and I wish them the best as well!

Robert, at least I can draw here and there so the design for the Executor is well on it's way. I can't wait to start on your knife's big brother.

Laurence, I hope you got those medical issues under control.

Once again, thanks for your support guys.

I wasn't aware of your absence because I have been busy too with little time for the computer. I spent 3 weeks away with family, the truck has been in the shop for repairs, and I too have been back and forth to the doctors for all that ails me. Getting older and slowing down has left me with little shop time for making knives in recent years. Seems the older one gets the busier life becomes. Hang in there the road in life gets bumpy sometimes but it all works out in the end.

Bufford, sure hope things settle down and you get more shop time.

Thanks David, I do have a few crazy ideas brewing, not sure about the ingenious part though. ;)

I really appreciate your support guys. Thanks a bunch.
