I use to be on here a little bit now and then, but the last 3 work seasons have been dismal at best so instead of teasing myself I have stayed away.
Well I was talking to a Hog via text while he was at Blade and he asked me if he could proxy anything for me. I told him "No" what I really wanted was up last year and I was never able to get enough free money to get it. He asked what it was?
A Satin Gladius...

Well, Monday I received a Priority Mail Box and inside there was a brand spanking new Satin Gladius...

Back when all the Infi Hog names started it wasn't unusual for a Hog that was in the position to to gift another Piglet his 1st Busse or a Grail knife at a super deal.

That is what two Old School Hogs did for me..I am humbled by their love and generosity... Thanks you again from the bottom of my heart.

NOW...comes the dilemma I was away when everyone was hot on this last year and I need a sheath so I can carry this bad boy.

Can you guys put up pictures of your sheaths and who made them so I can figure out who I need to contact?
I'm up in the air about Leather vs Kydex so please show both.

This knife is just to cool, and it bit my hand before I could get it out of the box.
I'm thinking it might be time to melt the Chuckette' down for scrap and just use this one all the time, what do you think?

Brother, congrats on your score! The satin Gladius would make Maximus Decimus Meridius very proud, but the Chuckette is a one of a kind...and a grail to many a new-comer. Use her well...but never forget what the Chuckette represents...

I'll take the Chuckette, the most awesome hunk of INFI ever can't be melted down :D


And yes, congrats on the Gladius. There are many generous Hogs here, then there are a select few that are just amazing.

Congrats, and that was good of the two hogs to help you out.

Great story Chuck. This little wee piglet is aware of your legend and I can say I'm glad to hear that HOG kindness still abounds.

As for a sheath, I know knifehunter had some sweet ones made by Rainwalker I believe. Maybe he can bring around some pics to show. I think with a Gladius you have to go leather or maybe kydex infused leather. :cool::thumbup:

You know the rules! Pics or it did not happen!!!!!

I wanted a Gladius pretty bad, but had a real decision to make! I figured I would use the KzII more, so that is what I had a hog proxy for me (Thanks KH).

I still wonder if I shouldn't have just thrown caution to the wind, and gone Gladius at show price! Sure it would not have been practical, but hell, it would have been an double edged INFI sword!!!!!!

Oh, well, I will just have to be happy with the KZII, and the B11.
 
That's a heartwarming story.

And it reminds me that I'm hungry for some salmon and moose.
 
I know Jeff Law at Rainwalker got one so he should be able to hook you up if you want leather.
