I've been thinking about the handle on the new hatchets.

I wanted light, strong, unusual and free!

I make some cane's and walking sticks and a few bow stabilizers from broken carbon fiber golf club shafts. HMMMMMMMMMM

How about done in carbon fiber and graphite tennis racquet's.

Found 2 at pro shops right away. It's time to cut and fit.

Good idea and find -- I look forward to the finished results.

I just got back from a flea market over my lunch break hoping to find some 'smithing goodies, but alas; I came back empty-handed.

I am no Master Scrounger. :grumpy: :D

I try to scrounge but have two problems. My wife (she limits my retention rate of found treasures) and I must drive 100 miles one way to any sizeable town (Albuquerque or Roswell) where most of the scroungeables are.

I'd be careful when testing the first one. My understanding is that CF is both light and rigid, but doesn't take sharp impacts well, but I'm sure ot'll look cool. I'm a fool for CF, love that stuff!
