A fellow Beckerhead was gracious enough to let me try his 10 out for a couple years (we DID agree on a couple years, right?)

I opened the box in the parking lot of the post office..and immediately KNEW I loved this blade! Great in the hand, perfect size, the 'ramp actually makes sense for it...AWESOME point profile...just an epic WIN Mr. Ethan!

the factory sheaths are sh*tty...even the LE ones! LOL

so I fixed it

It may not be any time soon..but I WILL own one of these! Its perfect...I love the 2, but it is kind of ''clunky''...this 10 is nimble as Roadrunner getting away from Wile Coyote!

Did a lil chop test (i used pine...it's a borrowed knife)

Thats 20 chops with each knife. the Nine didn't do so well, so I did it again with the King..turns out the first time I was using the belly instead of the sweet spot...the second notch with the 9 was almost twice as deep. The 2 and 10 were close...but the 10 felt better chopping...not as much ''THUNK'' in the hand when it hit the wood.

just for kicks (and because it was riding on my belt) I tried the 14 with 20 chops.

Did a lil tiny bit of crossgrain batoning (once again, not gonna whale away on the 10)
100_1173.jpg

100_1175.jpg

The 10 bit in well, maybe the best, but actually the 14 bit in the best, so I guess the 10 was second. The 2 is the worst at this....so thick it kept wanting to bonce out. Thats ten whacks with a pine 2x4

I HAD to do a lil batoning... so I batoned a 2x4 (once again, Pine)
100_1185.jpg

The 2 wins here...hard to beat a 1/4'' wedge LOL...10 and 9 seemed tied, the lil 14 actually does well in batoning smaller stuff.

All the knives threw nice chips (except the 14)

Stab test! (pine, again LOL)
100_1193.jpg

The 10 seems to stabbity stab the best, heck of a point on it!

I like it, after finding a elf-wrench to fit the TINY lil bitty screws!
Strong, tough, well-built...handy on the belt. Just wish it swiveled so u could carry it vertical or horizontal. I would recommend this at the prioce point it is. Nice belt clip.

My name is Clayton...and I approve this knife!

I may get a 7 and turn it into a 7-10 (kinda like a 7-11 but with less robberies) or just pony up and buy one for twice the price they sold for LOL

P.S. I had no bells or whistles. Small bit sad about that. :) not really...this knife is FUN!

Awesome pics...kinda fueling my desires for another Becker really really soon!

Oh...gotta get back to Gbush's contest thread

Great pictures, i also wish i would have bought a LE 10, my favorite of the full size beckers:(

How'd you do the scales on the 2? Good looking family thrill! The 10 is my grail. May I never have one and be complete.

Nice review thrilly.... thanks! What is the bin used for? I've got a very similar one for compost...

Why couldn't you say that it was terrible and that's why they are not making it anymore. huh? I don't know if there is a Becker I want more than the BK10. It's a workhorse just begging to be used. On the shallow side it is sexy as hell to. Love this design. It was the first Becker that I thought I had to have, don't tell my BK2, till I learned they were out of production.

Thanks for rubbing our nose in it :D

Hey Thrill!! Your kydex work is really looking good. Keep up the good work!!

I stippled them with soldering iron, then spraypainted them with Chevy orang engine paint, then sanded it all of except for in the stippling...then sanded some more.

It's actually several planter/flower boxes stacke up on each other.

Thanks man

I really like the look of that BK10 LE over the standard BK10 the sharpened tip looks great! I am glad you went to Kydex instead of the stock sheath! I have never liked non Kydex sheaths, I know some don't like it because it scratches up there knives and blah, blah, blah but they really are much better IMO!

Looks great! I have been wanting to get my hands on one of those BK14's and some custom scales!

Enjoy!

Gee, that is one hell of a sexy 10...

Glad you are able to appreciate Ginger's figure. That is an awesome job you do on the Kydex man, I'd say you have done it so much more than you have.

The 10 is an awesome blade. I'm glad you are enjoying it. Feel free to keep it for a while and use it, for a reasonable amount of time ;-P

glad u dropped by. I just wrapped that up today to try it out. If u want a different color or style sheath let me know brother.
thanks again....it's a hell of a nice blade!

Is that how it works? If I send you something to play with it will come back with a new sheath? Hmmm...

....that is indeed how it ''works'' LOL (maybe, depending on what it is and if I wanna play with it)

unless u send a BG Gerber...in which case I WILL baton/work it right alongside my Beast and see which one breaks first.

the rest of it is hideous..but i will admit i like the shark head. Would be cooler as a sculpture instead of a knife..but cool nonetheless

If I actually owned that thing I think you would find me more in the prac-tac forum than in here haha.

Mall ninja toys do have one good use...... Playing with water melon cannons and ammunition for said cannons!
