I used my Battle Rat to clear some brush this weekend, and as an assist when cutting down a tree blocking sunlight in the garden. Cut through vines and small branches like they were butter. Took only about three hard swings on some larger branches. Rubbed it down with some Tuff Cloth, and used it again Sunday to take down the tree. Along with a Fiskars saw to cut down the main trunk, about a ten foot tall Mulberry. The Battle Rat hacked through the brush so I could get at the tree itself. Amazingly, no edge chipping, the edge surprisingly felt sharper when I ran the tip of my thumb across it! This knife is too big IMHO to take camping, but for brush clearing, chopping etc, it's a great knife.

That is one of the areas where the long chopping blades excell. That line makes a nice heavy duty brush cutter.

I used mine to cut my sandwich

No problems at all...

I know it don't sound that tuff but you didn't see the size of that sandwich!!!

On a serious note I think the Battle Rat is an awesome tool for working out in the yard. Easy on the hand and cuts with ease.

I just wish I had bought a few more when I had the chance...

I sliced tomatoes with mine just minutes after I got it and it worked perrrrrrrrfectly!!

Next up is those nasty cucumbers.... :D

Not only am I taking mine camping (next weekend), but I'm also going to be using it as my SHTF knife. Or for when my truck brakes down in the middle of Timbuktu and I'm surrounded by a horde of hungry bears.. :D

I took a couple of eye bolts and opened them up to make hooks.

Have the kydex sheath bolted to the rack of the 4 wheeler (when needed) and the BR is used to clear branches and small cedars(ash juniper) on the ranch. It does good.

The INFI coot is jealous, it wants kydex.
