On the DOTD thread titled "Christmas Presents are Available Right Now" on 12/2, one of the knives was a Gray horn handled Malla. To me, the pictures were stunning.
I have not seen many Mallas come up on the forum, they seem sort of rare. Gray horn handles do not come up very often (again, rare). This one has that slightly curved handle that everyone seems to like, unlike most Mallas that I have seen. This one balances. And it's a Kumar Blade. This is an exquisite piece of craftsmanship melded with a gift of nature. It feels like I have acquired the Nepalese Excalibur.
I can't see how it sat for over twenty hours without anyone dropping the EMS before me.
To me there is only one explanation.
Bawanna posted that it was my lucky day-- "That blade wanted you and you alone." Bookie said that khuks are like cats and they choose who they want to be with. I have read posts stating the sentiment that HI Blades find the home they are meant for several times over the past year.
Now, I believe.
