Ok, so I didn't really bend my wookie, I did actually
bend the pocket clip on my commander.:( What's SOP for getting this fixed? Do I need to send it in? (it could use an edge touch up while it's in the shop) or do I need to buy a new clip? Just need to know what to do here.. It was one of those stupid bends, snagged on the arm of a chair and I tried to get up. The chair lost more than the knife did but it's still bent out about half an inch. so I need to get it fixed.

Chambers:

I had a similar situation happen to my PSARK getting out of my car (it got caught on my unretracted seatbelt). The fix is rather easy, you can pursue one of two options.

OPTION 1:

Remove the pocket clip from the knife and place it in a vise and bend it back to its original configuration. This is the solution I chose for my personal situation. Ensure that the set screws were not stripped prior to re-assembly. If they are, EKI will send you replacement ones.

Option 2:

Send the knife into EKI with a short note indicating what you want done to the knife in terms of refurbishment. Just prior to another knife's arrival at the plant, I called Peggy to advise her that my knife was on the way in for a tune-up. C/S at EKI is second to none. One thing Peggy mentioned that I'll pass on to you. When you address the package, simply label it Emerson Inc. (rather than EKI Industries). Avoid any references to "knives" or "Blades" (self explanitory ). Depending on the shop work-load, turnaround is usually very fast.

Hope that helps...good luck. :)
