I've always had a knife fascination, and have carried one for most of my adult years. But it wasn't until I read a few of Dickie's books that I got hooked again. I was intriqued by a couple of knives he mentioned in his books - an Emerson CQC6, and Mad Dog Frequent Fliers. Started looking on the net for pictures of these. The Emerson was easy enough. Then the search for the trick MD FF's led me to Earl Stewarts Knife & Tool site, then knifeforums.com, finally here - with the myraid opportunities for wasting my time and spending my money ! Thanks, Dick !

BTW, I can't even pick up his books anymore. I love military/action/adventure books, and the first couple were good (closer to fact), but now they seem like such immature tripe, with a level of profanity that can only be appreciated by adolescents. HE is the real thing, but his books have become caricatures of the genre.
