So there I was, comparing prices on a Roadhouse, when all of a sudden I discover an 'in stock' CQC-7V with the tan slabs. I remembered Rolf's affectation with the 7's and as I have never owned one, I started seriously considering one.
My understanding is that the 7V tan is a limited 'Prestige' run, so I decided to shop around. I checked 5 of the big name stores and all were sold out. My usual store recieved a shipment and sold out the next day, which left me a bit PO'd, so I checked my alternate store and they had one. Well, seeing as how those 7's were going faster than free beer at a BBQ, I dropped the hammer on it right away.

The 'Prestige' Roadhouse can wait until next month, while I give the 7V a good workout. :)

I'll take the blame and you will love that knife!
pix, then...broh. ;)

I took mine apart and cleaned out some of the gunk. Added a teeny bit of lube and now it's like butter.

I know it's trivial but being able to break the knife down using a regular driver set is really awesome. And like I said in the other thread, the tanto blade really works for most edc tasks, even opening letters and such, I'm suprised at how many people don't like tantos for edc. I think I've found my new favorite blade style.

One thing though, what's the official weight of this knife? The site I ordered it off of had it listed at 4 oz but it feels heavier than m 5.5 oz ZT 0350.

Congrats! you have "The classic Emerson" in my mind but with a modern dash of style :) I love the tan scales and the V grind pleases alot of people.
