Well the coating wasn't sticking too well to my ole Mistress so I peeled what I could and sandblasted the rest. I also gave the scales a bit of contouring too as they suffered from an overall "squareness" I just couldn't live with. Can't wait to get it out to the NW Mischief next weekend :D
 
So, didi you protect the handles at all while sandblasting or just sand blast them along with the blade? I hate coated blades. I took mine off just by sanding it.
 
The Mag slabs were blasted too. Not too heavy on the slabs. Just enough to give them a nice look and a little texture :)
