  • Today marks the 24th anniversary of 9/11. I pray that this nation does not forget the loss of lives from this horrible event. Yesterday conservative commentator Charlie Kirk was murdered, and I worry about what is to come. Please love one another and your family in these trying times - Spark

I bought this "Viking Axe" for a costume piece, I looked around a lot, and I just really like the shape, it is just for wearing around the Ren-Faire, I guess I could use it, but not sure I can really trust it, it is one of those Pakistani numbers, it said it is High Carbon, but who knows what is going on there?
This is my first axe/hawk, and the price was right for a costume piece, anyone have any suggestions for a "Bearded Axe" with a Hammer on the back that is similar to this one but one that I could actually use?

The head is from Ragweed Forge and the haft is one I modded from Track of The Wolf.

I put it to use yesterday carved some supports for the wife's tomato plants, and used the poll end to pound them in.Took a couple more shots after.

Can't comment on the quality of the head but the handle for sure is sub-optimal (with regard to run-out and grain orientation) and will likely break in a very short time.
