The wife and I are starting a bug-out kit and I was thinking about a good strong knife for getting me through when the world turned to sh1t. I did some research and decided the Machax has to be the one. It looks as if it can handle everything from survival and shelter building to defence if I ever should need it. I should have it today. I’m pretty excited about adding this knife to my kit! And, yes, this is my first Becker!

Great choice. you will love it.

Congrats, just got one in yesterday myself. Very cool blade.

It was actually between the BK4 and the BK9 in the end. Originally I was looking at the 2 or the 16 but my wife said I had enough small knives and go big or don’t get one. The 9 will be ours next for sure. I need to get a Becker for her anyway lol... The Machax will be my trusty steed though!

Coolness.

The Machax is awesome.

BTW, the 4 will not be your last Becker.

I bet my biscuit on that.

Awesome. The machax is great. Sounds like you have a pretty awesome wife as well. Mine wants shoes and clothes, not beckers. Damn.

At these prices how can you NOT buy more? I mean I was thinking about a Busse, but why when I can have such awesomeness for a 1/3rd of the price? I have to snag a BK-11 at some point too, and a BK-16, and a.....

Just got home with the Machax.... HOLY SH1T I love this knife! I’m keeping it bedside till I go camping as my anti-home invasion protection hhahahaha... In all seriousness though, I really like it. I would like to have a kydex sheath made for it and maybe get some G-10 scales. The stock sheath feels like decent quality though and I’m sure it would work just fine. What fits in the small sheath? BK-11?

Remora with stock sheath.

I live 12-15 miles from the nearest traffic light, 15-20 from the nearest business...

I'm thinking of getting kydex for my 4 too, just hard to justify spending $60 when that could almost by me another 4 or somethin else.

Hey man! Welcome to the forum! So glad to see a local around the forum. The 4 is also bedside at my place lol, I haven't gotten a chance to go out and wail with it yet, but hope to this weekend if the weather clears up a bit. Beckers are awesome knives, but I think the community and support behind them adds alot to their collectibility. Hope you stick around, and lets see some pics of that beast!

Thanks man, I have actually been around here for 12 years lol but just got into Beckers now... Why I waited so long? I have no idea because I can see now I really have been missing out. I’ll stick around for sure. I’ll get some pics up soon too. I just didn’t want to put up any non-action photos since everyone already knows what the knife looks like unused. Man I really wish I could just carry this knife as an EDC hahaha I’d get some really strange looks though. Something tells me there will be a day where I’ll have to strap this bad boy on for preservation and I’m glad I have it. I need to get the BK-9 for my wife though. I fear she may try and steal this one from me if I don’t. She showed interest in that one last night.

Read my BeckerHead quote of the month (in my sig), and then look at who you said that to, just WAY to coincidental.....

Welcome to Beckerland, that will be $500 for your plane ticket away from this sub-forum, all proceeds go to BK&T/Ka-Bar via me buying knives with it.
