I bought a new Battle Cleaver...and I played with it

At first I hated the grip. I felt like it would slip out of my hand because it was smooth And it was too thick. I decided to play with it a little. Now it's perfect. So grippy. Not going anywhere.

Also going to make a new set of grips and a nice custom kydex shealth.

Nice grip. It just needs to have the top lanyard hole ground off and it'd be a more serviceable blade as I think that'd kill your hand if you move back on the handle.

It is dirt cheep for that big of a slab of 5160...

Cuma "Battle Cleaver". BladeHQ sells them for sure, couple other sites do as well. Runs around $45-50 IIRC.

Is the blade a acid stonewash? I have a soft point for acid stonewashes....

That is a nice big slab of steel. Good steel too. I agree it's begging for mods or customizing but for a starting cost of $40 it's doable. Does anybody know what the hardness spec on it?

I've been loving it so far. I just made new handles for it and I'm finishing up a kydex sheath. Almost done
