It's the watch I've always wanted...an Oyster Perpetual Date Submariner. I purchsed it with some of my inheritance after my father's passing. I look at it as an investment as well as a hella-cool watch!:D :D :D

congratulations, i have a GMT11 i purchased new in '99, and really like it, SS w/burgundy and black bezel, and really like it.

was just gonna wear it occasionally, but now i wear it 24/7, hard to put on the TAG when ya got a rolex, and ya can get them refinished/etc, kinda like a custom knife, for not much $$, so why not??

mine is worth, after almost 4 yrs, about what i paid for it, and the green sticker on the back is still on, dont know how, a great watch and a great investment.

I have had mine for about 16 years. It is almost never off my wrist swimming, showers, sleep or ... and has been serviced only once. Great watch and well worth the money

Thanks for all the kind words. Mine hasn't left my wrist for more than a few hours a day (when I'm sleeping!) since I got it. I'm always worried about dinging it up, but haven't yet.

we got my dad one, and he really likes it, dont be too rough on it, the gold ring popped off on him!!!!
i saw it come off though, so we just sent it for repairs, it was really odd,.

also, dont get rid of the box!! they are still worth quite a bit.

your watch is really nice, i think my dad got the same one from us, of course, we sacrificed my moms wish for a new car though :P

I bought my son a Rolex Sub for his 21st birthday. I wish your father could have been there to see your face the first time you put yours on your wrist. I'm sure he would have been proud.
