I broke down and bought a SwissChamp. Amazon is selling them for $39.99 with a bonus Vic fanny pack and I couldn't help myself. I just got it today and it's already obvious that it's a whole lotta SAK. Eight layers and thirty three tools don't come in a small package. I'll probably need that fanny pack to lug it around. I'm very happy with it. Does this mean that I'll stop buying smaller SAKs that have the same tools? Probably not, but it was a good way to justify the purchase :) .

That's a great price. If only I hadn't already spent all of my knife money this week (and then some).

My biggest SAK is a Super Tinker, I still buy smaller SAKs that offer no additional tools over the Super Tinker. So I know I won't stop buying SAKs if I get a SwissChamp.

But at 40 bucks, it's a great deal no matter what. I have wanted a SwissChamp for a long time, but I will not spend 70-80 bucks on one like most places change.

Nice score, cabron. The Champ was my first one at age 16, my only EDC for almost 4 years. Now, I only carry it once a week mainly because of the amount of SAK's and knives I rotate. Even then, it is my "travel" knife- go-anywhere-do-everything sort of mode.

I love my SwissChamp. That's my weekend SAK.

My EDC SAK is the CyberTool 41.

I am now eying the SwissChamp XLT, which I believe is the SwissChamp and CyberTool 41 combined.

The Swiss Champ is a great knife. I usually have it or a SwissTool Spirit on my belt.

I EDC a Cyber Tool 41, too. Great knife, but it's as much SAK as I feel comfortable carrying. I think the Swiss Champ XLT would be kinda like hauling an anvil around in your pocket! :)

I know someone on these forums who used to EDC an XLT. He's since moved on to another SAK, but not for size or weight reasons.

I'm always swapping out my SwissChamp and CyberTool 41. With the XLT, I wouldn't have to.

I have a 10+ year old Swiss Champ that has seen EDC use most of that time. I would be lost without it. A couple of years ago I bought a XLT. It is mostly in a jacket pocket or my day pac.
