Ok so I know this is a blade/knife forum but a hawk is still a "blade". So right when I start my practice with the tactical SOG Tomahawk M48 I broke the handle, I didnt give it enough spin and it hit the wood with the but of the handle. Finding a regular 1 with 2 bolts is easy but this one had 3....any sugestions?

given how cheap the SOG hawks are I would either just buy another or you could step it up and get a hawk that is actually meant to be thrown like a competition grade hawk such as this one from Two Hawks Forge

SOG make the fusion tactical, United Cutlery make the M48. the SOG has 2 bolts and the M48 has three. I think U have a United Cutlery tomahawk, not a SOG. Try calling one of their dealers.

You get what you pay for. It sounds like you bought a hawk off eBay from someone who has zero idea of what they're talking about.

Yeah I am confused, I don't think SOG makes the M48 and as stated above two screws not three. I have the SOG battle axe and two Fast hawks and I have thrown these, as have others, hundreds of times with no issue, handle hits, one hitting another on the target used them to death with minimal show of wear. I have two fast hawks one was only 20 bucks at walmart and it holds up like any other hawk. The battle axe is designed specially for throwing and I watched at eight year old stick it in a tree every time she threw it. I think you are talking about a cheap Mtech M48 not a SOG.

That said if it is Mtech these are as cheap as knives come and are usually bought off of wholesale sites from china and it's target audience is flea market and mall ninjas, they look cool but the second you do any hard use on them they break. I've got a couple myself in backpacks or glove boxes just in case, they look cool and if the price is right some of their full tang knives will work as they are just a sharpened chunk of metal. Not sure if you can find a replacement for it, or if it is worth it but one option could be to hand make one, or have someone else make one. I've seen some creative modifications to some cheap stuff in the past that worked out amazingly. Someone took a solid aluminum bar and put it on a SOG fast hawk and it is awesome.

As others said you get what you pay for. Remember buy once cry once, invest in quality and you will never be let down, invest in cheap when it's all you can afford, but know that it may break and you might have to spend money later for another or better. Good luck and let us know if you get it fixed.

I met a guy who told me he can get me a new handle but ill still get a new one, this time ill get a wooden one ao if it beakes I can replace it a lot quicker. After i fix the m48 Ill just keep it on display it still looks awesome even though it cant cut through hardened bread.

Where did you find the regular handle with 2 bolts that fits a SOB fusion. Need one myself now.
