After shoulder surgery a few weeks ago, I finally broke out of my cage and got back to the woods yesterday. I made a fire from all natural and locally collected material, cooked some beans, and enjoyed an unseasonably mild January day. I just thought that I would share some pics. Thanks and stay safe out there. - Wooly

Good news on the healing! It is supposed to be 61 here tomorrow and 68 on Tuesday. I think you just decided for me what I am going to do both days.

Woot Woot!!! Congratulations!!!

I hope you enjoyed your reunion with fresh air and campfire smoke - looks like it was a great day for a fire and cooking some beans.

Awesome news. Glad to hear you're healing and got back outside. Is that a 22mag? and like Rocky said, what knife is that?

Very nice, I see some Vienna sausage in there too! Glad to hear the surgery went well and your back outside. By the way I am loving this Fowler you blessed me with!

What's the rifle?

very cool man, its stunning what a good day can do, whats the beautiful little fixed you have there?

Hey guys, thanks for the replies and the well wishes. The knife is a custom “Backpacker” that I had made by Mr. Andy Sharpe (Sharpeknives, bfc). It is 4” of 5/32 stock 1095 w/ hamon and acid wash, 8.75” OAL, yellow G10, and a glass break pommel. I love it and it is one of my favorite EDCs. His standard model has no pommel. When Mr. Sharpe offers one of these in the exchange, you should jump all over it. It’s like an ESEE 4 made love with a Bravo 1 and they gave birth to this work of art. I've met Mr. Sharpe in person and he's a great guy that makes outstanding knives at a phenomenal value. The rifle is a Marlin 882SS in 22 WMR which accompanies me on the windier days of small game season.

Unfortunately, no bushy tails were killed in the making of this thread. Some pics of mine plus one of his standard models that he sells here on the bfc.
