After sippin the hater-aid on the sfno for all this time, I have actually agreed to take one in on trade, a nmsfno. And I'm kinda excited to get it, weird. Huh..... Let's see what kinda lovin she will receive. Mabey DCBB or satin??? The possibilities are endless!! I just wanted to come clean to someone I felt dirty on the inside.. For keeping this sfno guilty pleasure to myself.. Thanks.. J

Anyone else...I'd say they were going to LOVE the SFNO, but you'll be coming from the SH side of Bussedom, som I'm really interested in how you'll feel about the SF handle. I personally love it with the right slabs...but now that I have the Gifted Badger, I love the way she feels, too.

Make sure to post an AAR after you molest the nmsfno. :thumbup:
 
I think you will love it. I really liked it when I got my first SFNO which happened to be the NM version. Now I've traded into full flat ground, custom shop SFNO and scored a 1 0f 300 SFNO too! My most coveted Busse at this time is a Snake Skin, sabre ground SFNO... It may be the ultimate mid-sized blade because of the SF Handle--I am NOT a fan of the TAC Handle for some reason...

Dood...don't mod her before you test her. Beat her ass first, and figure out what needs to be changed.

MOF, start a running review of what she feels like, how she performs and what mods you think need to be done, then keep us posted as you're doing the mods and give us an AAR after you mod her and beat her again. Do it BaconSlinger style so we get a feel for what you want in a knife and what it takes for you to get her there.

That would be fresh! :thumbup:

i gave this knife a very good work out today,,, and while i have to add it is no FSH..but, it is a more than capable large midsize blade... i chopped some, threw her lots... got a great overall feel of the knife.. i give the knife a A+ design rating... i really like the saber grind to full convex profile, that is the way i build my own blades as well... so i may be a tad bit biased.. so Busse... after all was said and done,, you Brought it with this version of the SFNO.. now she gets modded!! just a mild makeover for this one.. convex edge and a satin or DCBB finish for her.. more pics when i finish her..

that is a good color combo. Me likie! I think you should remain a straight handled purist! That NMSNFO is polluting your infi gene pool!. You should immediately sent that my way. After all, you want to keep your race of straight handled knives pure and unsullied by a mixed heritage knife like that. It would fit in well in my neck of the woods though!
 
I cant believe all the talk about the SFNO you'd think it was the pinnacle of INFI or something, LOL If this keeps up I may have to get one myself and go chop down a neighbor's tree in place of the one I don't have in my non-existent yard. Think they would notice one morning? :D

Honestly to everyone who posts so much about this knife, is it THAT darn good? I'm starting to get a twitch for one after the last 100 or so posts raving about it.
 
dark one... i would go as far as to call it... a poor man's FSH......... the handles would need some smoothing for my taste.. but for a Factory Busse.. a crowd pleaser..
