This is my new EDC. I made it based on a request from a member in Texas (http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=703532 ). It's an 8" version of my neck knife with a squared butt. (I'm also doing one with a rounded butt - it looks like my neck knife all grown up).
The steel is 1095, edge quenched and acid etched. Flat grind. The scales are tiger stripe maple with copper pins.

02/18/10 Finished the sheath...

That is a wonderful looking EDC. Looks like it would fit the bill perfectly and be just fancy enough to make a man proud to pull it out and use it.

Very nice, could be the little necker that I bought, without seeing the scale.
I'm very happy with my little one, sharp as the dickens too.
What might you be asking for the adult version? --Bill

It will be $95. That's with the sheath, choice of pins (brass, copper, N.S., Stainless) and a thong hole if you want one. And for $5 more, Desert Ironwood scales.

 Holy monkey that knife is ridiculous. Awesome, awesome job. Is that convexed? I love how the spine looks rounded...looks like a piece of petrified leather. Very sweet.

Thanks guys.

cheekser,
The vinegar does a great job on temper lines.

fallen1,
It's a flat grind down to the edge. Then I sharpen it on a 1x30 using the method J. Neilson shows in his video on youtube. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TLjFjT4vYsM
It's real easy to bring the burr up on the edge.

that one looks great man! i liked you neck knife design but this is just great!
