I can’t find a three blade GEC anywhere

New or on the secondary? New - it’s a thing! 🤪 Secondary it’s a more expensive thing but showing some cooling off for current releases.

Haha 🤣🤣🤣🤣. When I first started browsing the forums and saw everybody posting about their GEC knives, I thought it might be nice to get one. After a little searching I realized they weren’t some ordinary consumer item you could just BUY, rather something you could only procure through strange opaque rituals known only to the initiated.

I immediately lost interest and focused my efforts elsewhere. Your life will be a lot simpler if you follow my example…

It's effectively not possible to buy a GEC on release for most people. If you miss a drop by an hour they're all going to be gone, and then immediately available on Ebay for an extra $50 or $100.

At least for anything anyone wants. You can find those tiny stag keychain knives and fixed blades sometimes, but any typical folder is going to be gone very fast.

People do sell them on the exchange here for more reasonable prices sometimes but it'll also be gone within an hour.

Are you looking for a 3 blade jack or like a stockman, whittler??? Post a want ad in that forum. They are typically hard to get. Look at their site for their dealers list. Look at their site for release dates. Check out knife shows if any are close to you. Happy hunting

An  hour?!? Some runs are sold out in under 30  seconds of release, from what I've heard here.

Personally, I find it ... "strange" that some, if not most "flippers" on the big auction site have several of the latest run available with a choice of handle materials the second the run is released.
Makes me suspect some of those "flippers" are actually authorized dealers, who sell their allotment at inflated prices on ePrey, using either an inflated "buy it now" price, or an auction, with the minimum bid the retail issue price or higher. 😡👎

GEC is at best "semi-production" if not "semi custom". They are a small company, with 30 some cuttlers making the knives.
GEC manufactures perhaps hundreds of knives in each run of each handle material variation (far fewer in say Stag and other exotic materials). There are thousands of people that want one of any given handle variation. (E.G.: They make 1,200 total of a pattern, and there are 5,000 potential buyers with the cash in hand.)
