i can not see pics? why

I just looked at the preferences you've set here and your account is set to show images -- so it must be your browser settings. If you tell us what browser you're using we can give you step-by-step directions, but you can probably find it yourself -- somewhere in your options you have it set not to show images.

This happens to me depending on the "filter" the ISP I am on is using. For instance I can not view any pics hosted on/by photobucket.com when at work because that entire site is blocked from work but I have no problem seeing them at home. This all on the same computer. I hope this helps.
 
Okay, if you can see some pix my guess was wrong. Which pix can't you see? How often does that happen?

Sometimes people screw up posting a pix and all you see is a red X. There usually isn't much you can do about that, except ask the person who posted it to figure out what went wrong and fix it.
 
On many browsers there is a setting "show pictures from the originating server only", that causes about what you describe.

Many companies and government agencies are blocking access to a number of common sites by the computers in and on their LANs. The reason is that these have been too often shown to be the sources of virus and worm infections, especially attachments from them. So, if you have attached a picture from one of these to your post, that attachment will circumvent even the most stringent of firewalls, or so our IT security people have told us. Therefore, they are blocking most of the sites where such things occur.
 
All my stuff is set right, but sometimes a pic won't load the first time I open a page. If i refresh the page, or click the "Quote" key, then I can usually see it. Try that if you still can't see some of them.
