As most of you know, when Lynn Little gives me advice, the first thing I do is look around for flammable materials. They didn't knickname him "Oops" in high school for nothing.
He did tell me to put a tiny o-ring on the thumb stud of my AR. It seemed innocent and cheap enough, and most importantly, no flames, blow-torches, accelerants or primer-coil was required. I figured, hey, for 25 cents this just might work.
Well, believe it or not, Lynn was right! Okay, this makes the first time in over two decades, but every once in a while even a blind squirrel finds an acorn!
The action is easier on the thumb, the o-ring stays in place and after two days none of those red-hot warning signs has appeared. Lynn has a good idea, and more gems just might be offered. I'd just be careful if I were you, and I thank my stars I'm not.
