There is a old English style K with a shield around it on the blade. Does that sound familiar to anyone?

Maybe but I don't think so. Its a fixed blade and I found it in the woods about 10 years ago. Its nothing special just stainless steel made in China. I'm just curious because I can't find anything about it or even close to the brand.

Stainless steel made in China sounds like BudK to me...

(not Buck, BudK)
 
If it says "Made in China" on it you have your answer. Probably a factory in Yangjiang. What you are asking is who the importer is with that branding.
