I cant find my own posts anymore?

That announcement above about searches... Check it out.

(You need to be a paying member - temporarily, search is disabled for non-paying members to allow the server to be responsive.)

I didn't know that feature was part of search, It is found under forum info in my profile page.

All the announcment at the top of the forum says is Search is disabled for non paying members and it gave a reason.

A more effective message might have listed all the actual items disabled. A simple sentence like "this includes, ..."
Think of all the time you had to waste making rude responses, Time you will never get back.

I'd like to apoligise for that last bit, You see I can be snippy and rude also. It's not difficult or clever and serves no real purpose.

I dunno. We could revise the announcement to explain that "find all posts by" is a search, "find all posts containing" is a search, "find all threads started by" is a search, etc., and that might help some people understand, but others would complain about being treated as if they were idiots. Can't please everyone ...

When I lose things, I usually have good luck checking under the car seat.

When I loose things, I press a button on the finder domajig that finds things for me. The latest one has four buttons, one for my keys, one for the tv remote, one for the phone and the fourth one I put on the domajig so I could find it when I needed to find my keys.:D:D:D:D

I just hope the service gets restored.
You can't track your own posts & keep up with on-going discussions very easily, can't find new posts etc.
I know the answer, pay up...but the strength of BF is its mass membership around the world too, turn it into payers only and it will be a small pond indeed.of course, offer payers priviliges and incentives but I do hope the search service will be back in action.

Coming up with enough money to upgrade the hardware could take a while. In the meantime, you can still subscribe to any thread you want to follow (click on thread tools at the top of the thread) and you can set your options to automatically subscribe to every thread you post in (User Control Panel, Edit Options).

I was in the same situation- I didn't realize view other posts by this user was a search function. Then I decided to buy a basic membership- something I've been meaning to do anyways.
