Unless I am mistaken you can PM regardless of your post count, providing you purchased a membership level.

Somebody else chime in if I am wrong.

Yes, you just need some level of paid membership to PM. I would get a gold membership because once you get involved you will eventually begin buying and selling... Gold is required to sell on the exchange.

So that's what's happening. I was playing around with "mark forum read" and then coming back later to see that there are new posts but not anywhere near the top. Spent some time playing with options in my profile and couldn't make sense of it. I have a good idea of why that is, and so now that I know it's normal behavior I will quit trying to figure it out. I spend the majority of my time on the exchange.

I was playing around with "mark forum read" and then coming back later to see that there are new posts but not anywhere near the top.

Try this:

Once in the Exchange subforum of choice, click "Last Post By" at the upper right of the threads:

Then, click "Last Post By" again.

The threads with the new(er) posts should now be displayed in descending order from the top, as in other forums.
