This bug is gettin' itchy.

Just bought the Buck Strider Tarani w/ATS-34 - was under $100 so not even a question. Checked out 2 of them and ones liner shot all the way over, second was dead center so I took it. Impressive. Everyone happy with these?

Knives this past month:

Snody Activator
Harsey T-2
Benchmade Ruckus
Spyderco Native (WM)
Kershaw Storm2
Buck Strider Tarani

Looking at the Rat-3/D2 next.

The Duncan Whiplashs are calling me. I like Kirbys new one also.
My Jim Downs tactical is in the mail returning from Mr. Downs as we speak. Just updated it and fixed some cosmetic flaws, I'm psyched.

Damn, I love ny Whiplash. I can whole heartedly recommend them. Excellent fit and finish, smoooooth opening, etc. Just be careful closing one cause it's as smooth to open as it is to close.

Here's a pic of mine to tempt you. lol

Damn you. :>)

True North has one just like it I believe.

The bug is itchy!

Last 2 months I've picked up:
BM Skirmish
BM reflex
2 BM Nimravus
BM Delta Raider
Spyderco Spyderfly (where did that come from?)

Got one. Waiting for the Rat trap to come.
Fancied T2 but thumbstud and liner itself are a bit slippery to me.
Custom ones... well my family woudn't understand me.
YOU CONSUMERIST PIGS!
<just kidding:))>

On the Tarani, is there a different stamped number for the g-10 version? I dont see the visible difference online and wanted to confirm I have the TACCOM and not g-10. Mine is stamped SB4.T and I'm assuming the g-10 model would be something like SB.4TG? I think its taccom tho

Thanks

Cant tell right now - leaved it at home
Something like SB 4 and T upside down
G10 version with screws (black ones) – taccoms are with rivets (metallic)

Funny thing I noticed yesterday when I was looking at both Taranis the store had, one had the strider stamp right side up and the otehr was upside down - I showed it to the clerk and he hadn't noticed it before. Is this a mistake or is there something to it? The upside down stamped model was the one with the liner that shot far right. My guess is its probably a factory flaw.

Mine is ok. I just can live along with half serrations. I wonder if I buy taccom plain and replace blades? Or do not mess with it, save up a bit and get the original?

I was toying with the idea of grinding out the serrations for a recurve but I probably won't. Will eventually get one.
