Got my BK2 on Saturday.

Ordered a BK11 a couple of days ago, then canceled the order in favor of a BK14... and a BK9. So now I have two more Beckers on the way, for a total of three.

How does one break this addiction (short of going bankrupt)?

The only thing that helps me not want to buy more Beckers is getting out and useing them. Go in the woods find a spot that speaks to you and make something. Looks to me that you will soon have a perfect trio to keep you occupied for a while.

Oh, don't forget the pictures!

When you find out how to break the addiction, let me know! I've bought a BK2, BK9 and BK11 all in the same month!! Now I find myself in dire need of a BK14..

Nice. :-)

I almost had the same three, but then decided that the grip on the 14 looked a little cleaner -- to me -- without the bottle opener. Of course, the first time I find myself unable to open a brew, I may see the error of my ways...

For every becker knife you buy, a angel gets its wings.

So its a good thing to buy as many as possible....... :D

It's good for you, don't fight it.

Perfectly normal. Fortunately, there aren't that many current models. Come January, that number will double.

The best suggestion I got, is to save your money up, because come next year, we will be working with about 16 different models to choose from. It will only get worse.

Might try going over to BHA sub-forum (Beckerhead Anonymous) but hear you need to have over 50K in posts to enter.

I've found that you will purchase other junk if you don't buy the Beckers and the Beckers will last you and serve you well.

well, self control and pacing. stop buying things you could do with less of, like food, booze, and strippers (we have a lot of strippers around here, i don't understand the trend myself)... if necessary, get another job, because if you're going broke, you're probably lazy too :) got bad habits? quit those, buy knives intead. goto therapy? quit that, buy guns and knives instead - healthier! you got the idea.

now, go buy a BK5 or something as penance :)

Relax and enjoy it. Don't try to fight back. It's futile anyway and you'll just get hurt worse. Don't scream and cry either. Man up and deal with it.*

*This was advice given to Ark for the upcoming gathering, but it applies here as well.

its all good. beckers are a wise investment, pretty liquid as well since they fly off the exchange

Hey, it could be worse.....Low in calories, non alcoholic, drug free and known to encourage long walks in the woods........ What could possibly be bad about a leeeetle bitty, itsy bitsy, tiny black steel addiction.......he,he,he.......

All Best.....

Thank you very much, Mr. Becker. Your personal touch has a huge positive influence on this community. It's a wonderful thing to see!

[And might I add that ol' Gaston Glock has never bothered to thank me for any of my Glock purchases. :-)]

Again, thanks for the personal response. You've made a life-long fan.
