Hi folks,
knaf n00b here so apologies if this is covered elsewhere but how do I thread the b@stard thing through the lanyard hole? I've tried all sorts to no avail.

In the pic you can see it's a regular para cord lanyard, a ZT 0450 and the pokey tool I tried in vain to use.
Cheers.

Might help if there was actually a picture in your post.

Ooops. Didn't realize that was a link. It's gonna be a bit tough to get through the hole like that.

There are two main types of paracord used for lanyards. 550 is the standard. But there is also a thinner type also that seems to be used on Amazon in which the loop is made from 275 size para while the body of it is 550. I believe it’s for that very reason. Don’t have a link at the moment and not sure if we’re supposed to link to Amazon either. If I run across it I’ll dm the link.

Sometimes if the paracord is very tight...I will straighten out a paper clip...then bend it right in the middle, and squash it almost flat with pliers. Insert the paracord into the bend, stick the paper clip through, and pull with pliers on the paper clip.

Just how I do it. :) Hope you find a way to get it through. :)

I think you should totally be able to fish that through with a loop of thinner line.

Aaah yes! Thanks all. I'd totally forgotten about the ol' fishing gut trick. Used it in my youth for... some reason or other.
Many thanks.

Ahh, hadn't seen that on my travails, cheers.
